New Minimum Wage 2025 In South Africa. The minister of employment and labour published government gazette 50073 on 2 february 2025, amending schedules 1 and 2 of the national minimum. Employment and labour minister t.w nxesi has announced a new national minimum wage (nmw) determination from r25,42 to r27,58 for each ordinary hour worked.
The national minimum wage (nmw) commission recommends a cpi plus 3% for 2025 but is sitting with another two proposals as it invites further suggestions. The increase will be 8.5%.
